Computer games.

My thoughts on watching the gameplay; it starts off very slow combat wise in the beginning and you might be a little put off. Once you get abilities or get a build going it looks kind of sick and very unique. Think Pillars DAO in first person that is a bit more fast paced. There looks to be boss battles. Not sure I have seen anything like it combat wise so it definitely looks original.
The bad: The dialogue and writing looks like it has been mainstreamed heavily. It isn't the same DND writing as Pillars and the casting doesn't seem as inspired. It's giving me Starfieldish vibes and that isn't a good thing. They aren't the same in that department without Chris Avellone

Need some advice guys if anyone can help me. Want to get a laptop to play games like Age of Empires 4, Football Manager, RollerCoaster Tycoon and The Sims etc.

I have been looking at these 2 laptops. Which would you recommend or could I even get a cheaper one for what I want to play? Thanks for any advice.

I'm not really up to date on laptops so there might be other alternatives, but 2560x1600 seems wasteful on a 16" screen and a 4050 grahpics card.
I'd probably go for the first one even if the intel cpu is a bit faster.
Cheers mate. Honestly I have no clue and when you look things up and it doesn't even help as there seems to be so many options.

Leave it with me, but don't buy either of them, 100%.

I should be able to get you a better deal than them.

Gimme a few hours bro.

That would be my first suggestion, but im still looking.

Im a Graphics card demon, so I would want a 4060, for sure.

Only concern with that 1 is a "small" SSD and not a massive screen.
Appreciate this mate. 1TD SSD would be preferable but I honestly have no real clue about it all so happy to go for a smaller one if the laptop is better

After playing BG3 the voice acting feels absolutely horrible. Overall it’s fun enough, 7/10 for me at best though

Well, the 4050 Graphics card is the basic 1, the 4060 is the card up, they go all the way up to 4090.

I only really know Nvidia, but AMD are possibly the better value.

The games you play seem quite Processor heavy, rather than Graphics card, so you might not need a 4060.

My mate picked up a cracking deal before Xmas and I cant find it now sadly.

No worries mate. If they are processor heavy, what would you recommend I need in that area?

Im not an expert at all mate, but I am a good reader

If you aren't sure where to begin in your search for a budget gaming laptop, take a look below, where I've rounded all the budget gaming laptops that are hot right now. I've also offered a few general pointers on finding the budget gaming laptop for you.

Take a look at this list:

Overall - MSI Cyborg 15 - delivers a fine balance of just what you need in its price class. It smartly uses modern entry-level parts in the right combination to provide a decent 1080p gaming experience, and its downsides are minimal for the cost.

Laptop for very tight budgets - Acer Nitro V 15 (ANV15-51-59MT) - Its Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU and Intel 13th Gen Core i5 processor mean you can enjoy steady 1080p gaming on this machine for comfortably under $1,000, where other budget picks sit.

16-Inch Screen Laptop - Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 - Most 17- and 18-inch laptops live in a pricier domain these days, but 16-inch laptops have emerged to fill in the gaps. The Predator Helios Neo 16 provides a larger screen than the many budget 15-inch gaming laptops out there, while keeping the price surprisingly low.

Laptop With a Giant Screen - Asus TUF Gaming F17 - You won’t find many budget laptops at this screen size right now, but the Asus TUF Gaming F17 is holding firm as a solid 17-incher with attractive pricing. Its $899.99 price is lower even than some smaller-screen gaming laptops, mostly because it’s rocking some past-generation parts.

Ok, Acer Predator seems a no, not great reviews, the others seem decent, most are priced below 700 quid, I could change the search to mid range, which would bump the price up, but you would get a better laptop.
