Computer games.

That was me. I played it as an action RPG. You can turn the turn-based thing off and combat in real-time. Thrilling!

I like turn based, means I can chill n don't have to concentrate so much. Might n magic legends is the same.

It's like a proper RPG like I was playing out of a book or playing D&D with other geeks

I hated Bioware for ages (well about three or four years) because they jibbed off Knights of the Old Republic - which as you said was at least the equal of the original films - in favour of developing some nonsense called Mass Effect. Obviously once Mass Effect was released they were forgiven, but it was still very annoying for a while there. KOTOR 2 is horrible though, and the less said about The Old Republic MMO the better.

I can dig that. I like time to chill and think in puzzle games. Hate having a timer there.

But for KOTOR I was so immersed in the story I wanted realism, so changed it. Did it for the Final Fantasy games too. Makes it harder and more intense, and you make more mistakes...but adds to the drama!

Didn't play KOTOR II and don't like MMO games.

Can you recommend Mass Effect then for someone who loved KOTOR and also enjoys epic sci-fi? I played a demo of Mass Effect 3 and the constant shooting of goons put me off. Don't wanna play a shoot-em-up.

Mass Effect is awesome, KOTOR 2 :sith lords is a great game as well. Tried the MMO it was awful truly awful.

That EA access just came out on xbox one. Just bought it. You get battlefield 4, peggle 2, FIFA 14 and NFL 25 for £3.99. Well worth that for 4 Xbox one games even if you just fancy playing fifa for a few weeks. It's a subscription so you can only play when you pay the £3.99 a month but your achievements and save games are still playable if you stop subscribing but buy the disk. It's in the apps section of Xbox one.

Mass Effect (on the PC anyway) is brilliant - it is a bit shooty, and each of the three games has their own little annoyances (mostly to do with the exploration bits in each), but the overall experience of each of them mean they are probably the best series of games ever made.

Looks decent that. But sadly something I'd be utterly awful at.

i was really crap at them mate cod the lot but you just have to carry on and then it clicks for months i couldnt kill anyone on battlefield but kept at it and im ok at it now and its great fun.

Can't really argue at that price.

I've got a ps4 so it won't be happening for me.

Not enough choices in the Mass Effect series for me and not enough change to modify your attributes. In fact the world isn't big enough either.

KOTR I loved for the story line but not keen on the RPGs that make you feel like you are more playing a level.

KOTR 2 is abysmal and the developers should be screwed for ripping people off.

Strider for the PS3 is a pretty damn good adaptation.

Currently playing Xenogears again and FF13.

If you haven't played Xenogears then you should really be downloading it on PSN. Or hell the story is good enough to watch the walkthrough on youtube.
