we've done favourite game of all-time, and some of you did it per format, which i think is a great idea:

Atari console - Space Invaders (tense as fook when they started to come down at you faster & faster!)
(hipsters' choice: Yars Revenge)

Commodore 64 - Turrican 1/2 (best 2D platform shoot-em-up ever)
(hipsters' choice: Impossible Mission)

Megadrive - Streets of Rage 1/2 (the crunching of bones! and the music...)
(hipsters' choice: Sword of Vermillion)

Amiga 500 - Frontier Elite (lost a whole summer on this...a summer!)
(hipsters' choice: Premier Manager)

Playstation 1 - Final Fantasy VII (clearly)
(hipsters' choice: Silent Hill)

Playstation 2 - Pro Evo series (thousands of hours...)
(hipsters' choice: Splinter Cell series)

Playstation 3 - Infamous (pure moreish gameplay)
(hipsters' choice: Mirror's Edge)

PC - Knights Of The Old Republic (a Star Wars story to match the original trilogy)
(hipsters' choice: X2/X3)

So annoying. I can take getting locked by a heli and one stinger but when an entire team is doing it, they take no skill.

How dare they not stand still and pad your k/d ratio.

Hahaha. It's the fact they lock at around 500m so half the time you can't see them.

Used to love it on the PS2 and have always wanted to play it since.

Could not agree more, I'm sure I have a star trek game on one of these disks also, but I found 'Rainbow Island' and 'New Zealand Story' to play first when I get the time.

Classic games, used to love those on my old Amiga

oh yeah! i loved Road Rash. The first one on the Megadrive. Simply superb fun! Only Rollcage can match it or fun value.

They buggered up the physics in later versions (as they did with Rollcage too), never felt right.

Remember that, used to love the way you can flip you car over and stuff!

Yeah, the reviews don't look too good for the first one. It seems the consensus is that X3 is the best of the bunch, but doesn't have so much a learning 'curve', but more like a 'vertical line'

I will probably wait until I can grab it on a steam sale, as I am currently dividing my time between KSP, MWO, Rust and Sid Meier's Pirates.

Another classic old Amiga game. Meier is a boss.

Just found my old Playstation a while ago, been playing 3. So good, i'm not a big Beat 'Em Up fan but this has to be my fave one ever.

I love my Vita.

Persona 4 Golden is one of the best games that I've played in years, highly recommend it.
