Computer games.

Finally got round to playing EU4. Given it a couple of days, and the conclusion I've come to is this: EU4 sucks balls. Tried as a few different nations. Tutorial teaches you nothing useful. Then when you finally start a game you've basically got 2 choices: try to go to war for a few provinces - but as soon as you take over a couple you start getting massive diplo penalties (altho that doesn't seem to have stopped Muscovy in my current game) - and you run out of money ridiculously quick if you have any kind of army; or you just sit around doing nothing. On top of this it is incredibly complicated, with so much stuff going on that is completely unexplained what it means or does. I really liked CK2, but this is just arse.

EU4 rewards an imported CK2 game far more than any starting position that it would choose to give you.

For instance, having the Welsh drive the Saxons back into the sea during CK2 and establishing an Empire of Prydain that consists of the British Isles, Iceland and the Canaries. It is small enough so you can keep up with the province upgrades whilst big enough to deal with any of the mad regimes that will have come about on the continent.

I was suckered in by Halo back in the days when I was a kid and got all of the consoles bought for me so didn't have to choose.

I'm now stuck with Xbox as I don't have the heart to leave Master Chief.

Not that I have to explain myself to the likes of you.
