I still remember a time, when we were quite young, when a mate's dad took us all out to an airport (probably Manchester?). We were wandering around some plane spotters' viewing gallery when there was this huge roar and Concorde took off more or less right in front of us. We watched it go and then turned to see a whole horde of genuine plane spotters come legging it around the corner to see what all the noise was about.

It is impressive, but like most Everton signings it stops being impressive after the first week and starts becoming annoying
…my Mum did the Concorde to NY and QE2 return that was popular back in the day. I remember it circling the Liverpool skies on Grand National day. It was a stunning aircraft, the circumstances of that crash was horrific.

I watched a documentary about the engineering a couple of years ago & they said in it was not only state of the art in the '60's, it is state of the art today.
