I would say that while its unknown how things will work out with Davy in the long run, its hard to go wrong buying a team captain of a Europa league finals team, who's a 10+ goal scorer from midfield, former player of the year in his country, and only 24.

This could make for an unusual stat - if Rooney arrives, would this be the first time any club has ever bought both the club captains of the previous season's european / uefa / europa cup finals?

don't believe it.. al those players have one thing in common, they only had one good season and than they left. Klaassen however is constant for almost 3 seasons and our most valuable player at ajax. Koeman did Everton a real big favour by signing Davy, trust me.

Watching that video there's definitely a bit of tim Cahill in there, the diving header, poacher type goals, but with more ability to hit it from outside the box.

You can never be sure about them transferring over to a new league but passion and commitment helps and I'm very excited about this one. He definitely seems consistent over the past couple of years
