Precisely because Moyes buys good replacements....

Terrible comparison.

I think Moyes has instilled enough belief in the players and the club that they'd be able to cope.

I firmly believe we won't suddenly drop into the bottom half. We'll be fine.

It's goin to happen. Moyes will announce it and have his final league against west ham.

If he goes, I hope he goes in the right away and doesn't resign. Imagine Kenwright's search for a new manager, he'd literally have no clue what to do. Elstone would probably be in charge of recruitment - oh dear.

I'll get out of here now , I didn't believe he'd get it not just that I didn't believe he even had a chance . The only way is if fergie wanted to maintain level of interest

I've been told its done , I can't say any more than that .

I'm really surprised if its right in fact staggered

"I am told that an announcement will be made before the weekend. And while Jose Mourinho's latest posturing suggests he could swap Madrid for Manchester, the smart money seems to be on Everton manager David Moyes.

United want a manager who understands United's special tradition and place in the game. A manager who has a track record in developing young players. And a manager who has a commitment to playing attractive, attacking football.

Those qualities would all point to Moyes."

if it is true, lets hope our amazing board have negotiated something that they can't sign any of our players for a season or two

Just spat coke all over my computer screen reading that ffs.

You honestly expect them to think about something as clever as that? :(

Managerial compensation

Moyes will go to United without so much as them having to pay us a fiver.

By contrast almost any manager we go for will have a compensation figure set in his contract and/or we'll have to pay them damages. When the likes of Steve bloody Bruce cost £3m+ you know this will not be painless.

The world and his dog know about the great special relationship between Moyes and Kenwright. If Moyes wanted to go to United or whoever, there's no way Bill would have stopped it.

By not signing a new contract Moyes has cost us £3m+ that no doubt will go straight into his pocket as a signing on bonus or suchlike.

After 11 years at the club he might have shown us an ounce more respect.
