this looks like the perfect deal for Ferguson, he will still be hands on as a mentor for Moyes, you can see it a mile off.
Perfect move for United, good for Moyes.

Still of the belief that he has shafted us tho as we will not get any compo and he has for the last 12 months been setting himself up for a move , leaving the club with more financial hardship the very reason he used against the board.

His tactics haven't been great at times but his management skills have drawn praise from everywhere. It's amazing on such a tight budget we have been in europe for four years and in the top ten more often than not. A welcome change from relegation fodder we had to deal with year in and year out with W.Smith and co.

So.... We're ****ed now he's gone then?

there's no way your gonna leave a club after 26 years and then say 'appoint whoever the **** you want im off'

the club is his life, he wants to make sure it will be looked after and he will be very influential as to who replaces him, im pretty certain 100% he has the final word as to who gets it

and he has always said its moyes

Outside Goodison Park. Robert Elstone, Everton chief exec, leaves but refuses to make any comment on David Moyes's future.

That's it pretty much nailed on then.

Match of the day pundit Robbie Savage on the BBC News Channel: "I think David Moyes is the perfect candidate. He has got experience and he's done his apprenticeship at Everton. I think he deserves his chance at a big football club, it's the perfect fit for me.

Bellend.

Nah, he's left us in an excellent position.

Really that's the best you can say for Moyes, he's left the club in as healthy a position as any new manager has dealt with since Harvey took over.

I couldn't agree more. We may lose one cog but that will open up opportunities for some of our youth. Barkley will become more of a presence which most fans have been clammering for so one door closes another will open.
