It has proved now since the Rooney deal we have been living too comfortably with Man U - they take our manager with no compensation that is BK fault , but if DM has been selfish his comments have proved that I will sign my contract at the end of January rubbish & BK love affair with him, quote I would not sack him if we were relegated FFS he was on 67 k per week - DM steadied the ship but had total control over our club - the way he slated Lescott for the lack of loyalty, yet we got a big bunch of cash for him! If DM had signed just a 3 year deal in January the we would have got us compensation leaving like this leaves a nasty taste on some blues fans who have posted - I wish him well in the future, but the way DM & the club have handled this watching BK last night was farcical hardly going to attract a decent new Manager is it when our Chairman was almost in tears after his 2 hour meeting with DM coming out smugly smiling, when after all BK stated he only needed 5 minutes to convince him to sign & stay at EFC. sadness all around in the way this has been done good for DM, not so good for the Blues fans BK really has to lower the price sell to a decent buyer, & install a good Manager on less wages who ever comes in has to earn his wages not get 67k for winning nothing!

How's it Kenwrights fault ? Moyes wouldn't sign it's not like he can sell him is it ? Moyes didn't sign so clearly that's down to him not kenwright ?

seeing Moyes at the united game last night I got the feeling that he has already decided and agreed to join Man utd at the end of the season. Whenever Ferguson does eventually go he isnt going to give much advance notice....so i wouldnt be surprised if he announced his retirement in the summer with Moyes replacing him right away.

I wish i put a fiver on this back in Feb

Whilst your most possibly right I'm afraid i so see no evidence whatsoever of team morale being affected. They obviously didn't know what was going on either.

In regards to moyes what else was he supposed to do if he did infact know utd job was probably going to be his?? It's a once in a lifetime offer for a manager to go OT. You saying he should of left us as soon as he new?? Told everyone about was going to happen?? (Unrealistic)

The way I see it is yes he may of stringed everyone along with the contract situation but that was not because he wanted out to the best richest highest paying club available come season end, it was all because of one club which is impossible to refuse.

Pienaar for Eg. Let his run down simply for money, thinking he was better, wanted to go anywhere bar staying with us.
Moyes hasn't done that IMO.

He should at the very least made his wishes known to Billy Liar who, as much as I loath at times could then have made legitimate moves to find and finalise a deal with a suitable candidate for a swift replacement when the time came for Moyes to walk. Now a seamless transition looks like a long shot for our club at a time when more than ever a scenario such as this that is massively important for the club. The last thing any Evertonian wants is our club in disarray on the cusp of a new season when so much is still possible.

Easy if your manager plays hardball over a contract you look for his replacement then not when he walks at the end of it - paying him 67k was absurd wasteful amount of money we could not afford - BK has relied on DM too much only time now will tell who he installs! personally BK should drop the asking price for th club sell to a proven good owner & get out asap!

I hope Moyes did know there was a chance he was getting the United job, otherwise his refusal to sign a contract becomes more worrying. I'm concerned that the new TV deal isn't going to make one iota of difference to Everton's summer transfer plans.

We don't know if he told bill or not tho do we?? And tbf there's plenty of time for getting a new manager in... If the board have not already been looking with a manager who's not signing whatever the reasons he's giving, then more fool them!

Here we go... some one on United's Facebook has jumped the gun a bit. The announcement officially will happen at 2:30.

On Betfair someone is laying Moyes and backing Mourinho - the market is moving a fair bit on this. Moyes now 'only' 1/10 and Jose is 19/2.

Comments from David Gill saying European experience is a pre-requisite apparently driving a last minute punt here.

No mate, that's the last of the market settling down as the result is published.
