Was a flip of the coin who stayed up. I fully expect yourselves to be promoted next year. Hopefully we will be mid table and we play each other again soon.

Not for nothing, we'd love for you to jump in to World Football with your third sentence. I know it's not a "happy" thing but it's interesting to read what other supporters think. Wish you luck and a quick bounce back up!
 
Didn’t want to start my own thread, I know this forum will be a busy place! A close family member of mine was a big Everton fan and he sadly passed away early in 2023, he constantly reminded me of Everton’s very proud history in the top flight. Although living in Devon (and a big Exeter City fan!) I have a big soft spot for Everton and my relative will be very happy with today. I was watching avidly cheering Everton on and was delighted you stayed up! A proper, traditional top flight club. Thank you for today and well done!

Curious... where do you think it went wrong? Specifically... On paper its a good team, better than ours..

being honest mate, I thought we were loads worse than you, we got lucky in enough games. The championship wont be easy next season so I feel for you, plenty of others I'd rather have gone down. Not arsed about Leeds and soton though

Jeff Steeling was critical of your Manager's approach at the Newcastle game, dropping your best forwards & going for a draw etc the woodwork was your best player IMO - a shock win there & you were safe ? You looked like scoring when your better players came on & nearly did ?-

As an EFC fan I was glad we had to win playing for a draw we may have come unstuck .....
