"I was desperate to come here" is the correct one, the "to play for Everton" part is a huge cope/cop out - he's desperate to play because he's pretty much only good in a back 3, and Wolves have moved on; there's also space for this with us as we have paper players. Also to go with the fact he has a WC to potentially look forward to.

The main reason will be that we're spending the cash elsewhere and it suits both us and Wolves right now. He'll be a big success and we'll sign him, I think.
