it's [Poor language removed] embarrassing he was our longest-serving captain of the Prem-era.

yet he's still associated with a Man U career & England Women's stint.

that's how little he contributed to us. the only thing of note in 6 years was a sliding tackle. yeah, i could've done that too.

stain.

For me it was a low point when he got brought in ( especially after savagely berating him for years at United as inadequate to mouthy reds ), he played so many games for us, captained us and did the most pointing i've ever seen at Goodison. I know he must have had some good games but all I ever remember is his constant pointing and berating and that cup defeat to Wigan. Anyways, this was brought on by his comments today after playing his son and romeo beckham in the 0-6 defeat to Barcelona. His view was, "to keep it to 6-0 was a real positive for us". It just felt when he came I lost the Nil Satis Nisi Optimum. You might disagree. When did the Nil Satis Nisi Optimum stop???
1996

He is one of those players who can not look daft in a fabulous team, but not really improve an average one. SAF and Roy Keane both rated him.

If, for example, he dropped down to a Championship side, he would look brilliant. At an average PL team, not.

One of the things coming from utd ( I heard ) was that he was always "good" at feeding info back to SAF on what was going on - prob like his brother who Jaap Stam wasnt particularly fond of too - think he eloquantly called them "busy c*nts" in his book!

No idea mate. But I doubt SAF relied on Phil Neville to know what was going at at United.

Arguably the worst player to play for the club from an ability perspective and until coleman I thought he was the worse captain (at least he pointed a lot)

Utter garbage either way
you think Phil Neville was the worst player to ever play for Everton from an ability point of view?
As in you think Phil Neville had less ability than any other player who's ever played for Everton???
I mean, I'm not a huge fan but?????

Yep ... for his position
And I once played golf with him and he knew it
oh well then, you played golf with him and he told you he was the midfielder/full back with the lowest level of ability in the clubs 145 year history.
I cant believe you're making me defend Phil neville here but did you watch Everton in the 90's or even last season?
