I think you'll find that a little something called 'the van allen radiation belts' render space travel beyond low earth orbit virtually impossible. If anyone really believes America sent astronauts to the moon, they are living in la la land. Endless evidence is there for all to see how and why they faked it. The only 'evidence' we have of the moon landings are the fuzzy, black and white, low-grade third-hand pictures supposedly 'filmed' from the moon....even though they were able to use a hugely superior colour video camera that filmed shots inside the rocket. A bit odd that aint it? one of the thousands of anomalies associated with the so called 'moon landings'. And yes, the word from the US government and nasa that they did it; Two upstanding, noble and believable institutions which can be relied on to tell the truth....................................

The fascinating oxymoron of intellectually-curious stupid people...

yeah, but you still can't be assed trying to defend the indefensible can you? I'm not going to try and engage in conversations with someone who clearly isn't stupid, but who is whole-heartedly gullible when it comes to believing everything he is told by government sources. after weighing up all the evidence for and against, if you still think humans landed on the moon, la la land truly is the place for you.

Are you honestly trying to say that a country who has been the biggest world-wide land-grabber for the last century, isn't going to have a constant presence on the moon after having been the first ones to visit it? do you honestly think that after having planted the stars and stripes there they wouldn't call it their 51st state?..... 'ah sure, It's only space and we'll let the ruskies and the Chinese set up shop there before we do and have the most important strategic hitching post to outer space for nothing then.' ................... somehow I don't think so. None of 'em can do it which is why no other country has even attempted it since the US said it did.

bye.

Yawn. Guess I live in la la land then.

You should show all the qualified astronomers and physicists who disagree with your van allen theory those YouTube videos you’ve watched. That’ll show them

Holy sh1t! Got to be a parody.

Just because you haven't saw anything doesn't mean nothings there though. Millions worldwide have seen them.

The US do have a permanent base inhabited by people on the moon.

Christ, not this nonsense again.
Here's something I posted a couple of pages back:

Prof. James van Allen himself (who the "van Allen belt" is named after) spoke on this a few years back:

Ø The radiation belts of the Earth do, indeed, pose important constraints on the safety of human space flight.

Ø The very energetic (tens to hundreds of MeV) protons in the inner radiation belt are the most dangerous and most difficult to shield against. Specifically, prolonged flights (i.e., ones of many months' duration) of humans or other animals in orbits about the Earth must be conducted at altitudes less than about 250 miles in order to avoid significant radiation exposure.

Ø A person in the cabin of a space shuttle in a circular equatorial orbit in the most intense region of the inner radiation belt, at an altitude of about 1000 miles, would be subjected to a fatal dosage of radiation in about one week.

Ø However, the outbound and inbound trajectories of the Apollo spacecraft cut through the outer portions of the inner belt and because of their high speed spent only about 15 minutes in traversing the region and less than 2 hours in traversing the much less penetrating radiation in the outer radiation belt. The resulting radiation exposure for the round trip was less than 1% of a fatal dosage - a very minor risk among the far greater other risks of such flights. I made such estimates in the early 1960s and so informed NASA engineers who were planning the Apollo flights. These estimates are still reliable.

;)

It's never good to believe everything you watch on Youtube folks!

Land grabs tend to happen when the empire grabbing that land sees a financial or strategic benifit of doing so.

The Moon is a barren rock. Whilst there may be some minerals of use to us here on Earth, the technical logistics and cost of extraction and transport are far too great at this time for the Moon to be a profitable place to 'expand' into.

As for strategic military value, there is none. It may look good for James Bond villains to stick a death laser on there ( :p ) but in reality, despite appearing to be in relatively close orbit, the moon is nearly 240,000 miles away. It would offer nothing of more strategic importance than you could put in a low Earth orbit with modern technology.

Careful mate. He might think it's made of cheese.

I think that you are very wrong. However, I will concede that Lady Di is currently shacked up with Lord Lucan but they're trying to hush it up.
