Conspiracy theories

I think it is felt necessary by our ¨Leaders ¨ to destroy certain words which relate to 'difficult' concepts.
Difficult for them ...
Things they don´t want the lowly folk to bother their little heads about.

The first casualty I noticed was Anarchist, which used to describe a person who believed that society could manage very well without a structure of organised control, because when properly educated, the vast majority of people are capable of making their decisions for the common good.
As an example, in my town we have no police force or parking attendants -- you can park absolutely anywhere you like. In the middle of the road, on a crossing, or on the pavement.
..... BUT so can everyone else -- so it´s a case of ¨ Do as you would be done by ¨ make your own decisions, in other words, anarchy. It works pretty well.
Now the media uses Anarchist to describe the guy with the bomb who wants to destroy society ...

Is there perhaps a case for saying that the mainstream media conspired to ridicule anyone who realised they were being conspired against ?

Epstein´s demise is now repeatedly referred to as suicide on the BBC, the American prison authorities put out the same line, as do the authorities in general.
Are they not conspiring ?
But if you can´t even use the word without being ridiculed, you are effectively silenced.

Are you suggesting theres a conspiracy to change a meaning of the word anarchist when there is an actual dictionary definition which states ‘someone who believes in or tries to bring about anarchy’?

What have you been smoking?

I'm personally a firm believer in questioning everything on face value especially from the media.

I have seen it over covid-19 on this site even, the sheer questioning of the 'facts' is met with resistance yet I have seen many facts since disproven. People put all their stock into the truth without ever thinking that the truth may be delivered In a way that has ulterior motives.

The other thing I believe is that we have no idea how the world works. I am well aware that what you read in the news is simply the outlook they want you to read. I can also say that I have no idea the truth , but openly admit that. That's why I personally question everything , I may not know the truth but I know it may not be the version printed.

My kids call something good 'sick'. There's an example of 'exchange' in use.
If you cannot see how words have been manipulated to suit agendas then find any front page headline and look behind it.
Chomsky calls in 'Manufacturing Consent'.
Think advertising doesn't work? Ever heeard of Neuro Linguistic Programming?
It is an actual thing, and with due deference, the fact you question its existence and efficiency shows that it works.

You said it for me magicjuan, thanks.
I´m still giggling over McBain´s revelation that an anarchist (whatever that is) tries to bring about anarchy (whatever that is) -- who knew ?

If you don't take it literally that's one thing, you don't have to believe it, but if someone is warped enough to abuse a child then they're sick enough to believe the 'essence' of a child would been of benefit.
Bear in mind that historically child 'sacrifice' was accepted and promoted.
I'm yet to be convinced but nothing at all surprises me these days.

Bearing in mind that science has theories about gravity, the speed of light, evolution etc, without ever actually having proved anything, and the fact that no scientist wishes to depart far from the currently accepted wisdom for fear of being branded a maverick and losing his research grant, it can be argued that mainstream science is composed of conspiracy theories.

Scientists conspire to support the idea that consciousness arises from matter, like a genie from a lamp.
Renegades like Max Planck felt it was the other way round -- not an impossible notion considering the ephemeral nature of each ...

Imagine a society so interlocked and interdependent that the removal of a small percentage of the working population causes irremediable havoc.
