I'd take the light bulb out with a hook shot and then claim bad light. I'd have a better chance of victory if I could open the door and get him out to the corridor of uncertainty, he'd get a nick at some point.

Did they go for a round of golf? This Alligator sounds a bit of a sort and the type I'd take out. Not sure about the 10 seconds though, seems a bit long for me.
