Apparently it's full of aliens according to Donald Trump. I know he's a renowned liar but why take the risk?

Nah it's ace provided you're not a cop or in a gang. If you go away from the tourist places it's your own stupid fault, I definitely wouldn't advise travelling around the country. Tijuana is some experience but I wouldn't go with the missus for two reasons. 1, Mexican women are absolutely sublime you'd end up getting filled in and 2, Mexican men (Like Italians) simply don't care if she's with you, they will actively try to bang her right in-front of you then laugh it off and try and make you out to be an angry possessive type. This hasn't happened to me but I've watched it happen a few times.

Give me Tijuana over Vegas tbh.

Landed in playa del Carmen as cheap flights. Went to a town called Tizimin near Merida to see a mate.campeche and Veracruz. Spent some time in Mexico city, then Oaxaca, then tuxtla, a few months on Pacific coast mainly zipolite, then Chiapas which was beautiful before heading through Guatemala.

it was in places. particularly Isla Holbox in the Carribean, Actually so was Tulum

Spent a chunk of my childhood in central Mexico. Great country with and incredibly deep and varied culture. Food is boss. Sad that parts of it now have been overrun with drug cartels.

One of the strangest places I have visited was Real de Catorce. It was many years ago we stayed there but it literally like a western ghost town up in the mountains. It only had one telephone in the village, at the post office I think, but was a truly magical experience.

A close second also in Mexico was Chamula. The local brew Pox, is to be handled with extreme care!
