IF DCL can't be bothered - we should be giving Chermiti and Beto game time you'd think - hopefully in a bit.
Not sure why we keep playing him if they know that he will very likely go this window as not signing the new contract. So either they are hoping that he'll change his mind and extend, either we are trying to convince others that he can play (which ironically is having the opposite effect) or they are clueless...

Ashley Young proving yet again why he alone is not good enough cover for an injured Myko...

I can only assume Holgate is playing so he is match fit for which ever team he's getting shipped off to.

DCL poor again but not because his shots are weaker than a granny's farts, instead because he could've easily played it back to N'Diaye and we've have a goal back.

NDiaye & Iroegbunam impressive, Michael Keane earning himself that 4th CB spot.

Couldn't hit a barn door. Looked scared to go on and slot it.
Very true. Keeper hadn’t even started advancing and he just randomly had a very crap shot.

I do get they’ve all been flogged mercilessly for a couple of weeks, but some of it must have been vaguely tactical. You would surely ask the players to try putting some of the patterns and positions they’ve been practicing into a live match situation. They can simulate pretty accurately real match exertion and burst/rest workload now at the training ground. Could have saved the bus petrol if it’s just about fitness and done a group session on the Pelotons they all have at home.

Maybe, maybe... stop relying on ageing full-backs and just buy players for that position? Since Coleman became a starter in 2010/11 we have spent actual money on 1 (1!!!) right-back.
It blows my mind. Look how influential Digne was when we brought him in. We suck offensively because we don’t have any width to speak of. I would rather Patto because at least he gets down the line.

I understand Coleman was amazing for us, so spending money on a right-back wouldn't have been a priority, but he hasn't been great for like... 4/5 years now.

It’s just stupid. Blatant negligence. It is one of the most important positions in the modern game. Especially for a team like us that lacks width and needs interplay to help our slow wingers.
