Covid injection period

It's that time of year - straight in - straight out - injection painless - no waiting seems to me people are not bothering to get them any more in vast numbers as they used to ?- you used to be in a long queue at one time each year it seems fewer people don't bother any more ....
My family caught covid in June, lasted for 2–3 weeks a weird flu virus that went away & kept coming back - the nurse explained the people with no vaccine often end up in hospital ? Many new variants forecast to arrive - some people do get nasty reactions to these vaccines......
I dont think so much any more.

I had two vaccines (un-willingly to be honest) and have had a pain in my arm ever since the second one in 2020/21.. A doctor I saw thinks it hit a nerve. Will probably ache forever more.. No intention ever having another jab, nor a flu jab.

Got my flu jab last Wednesday (Boots) didn't want the Covid same time as it knocked me for 6 last time.
No problem come back next Wednesday same time they said.
Went earlier and was told their supply had run out come back next week 🤷‍♀️
They said there's been a big demand in the last week or so after it started slowly.

I can wait another week I suppose.

Yes I understand - my daughter had a bad reaction now long term sick with long covid - she blames the vaccine, & I know other people who had very bad reactions too.... no time to trial them out IMO ....plus no cure for long Covid - the governments both of them wondering why loads of people are sick since Covid ......
My Doc reckons over 2 years of shielding and the public not interacting normally has lowered everyone's immune systems .
That's why there are many colds & viruses doing the rounds , it may take years to stabilise.

can you summarize?

Had this and the flu jab.

Could afford, and would gladly pay a voluntary payment for both.

Don't understand why the NHS, on it's uppers, doe's not implement this.

The only thing our Yank healthcare system gets right is flu/covid vaccines are free/paid by insurance for most people; and it's easy to schedule and get the vaccines without (usually) long waits. I guess it's time to get off my butt and get my appointment.

Sorry that you have pain in your arm, I presume SIRVA?
Did the doctor recommend any treatments? Since you have had it so long it might be worth going back and seeing if anything can be done to help alleviate it.

I hope you’ll still consider getting the tetanus jab, it is only every 10 years but can stop a particularly nasty disease.
