Was speaking to the Liverpool season ticket holder I know earlier, they were saying how Liverpool are changing the way they do season tickets, its going to be with NFC technology, for those who dont know its Near-field communication a technology that allows two NFC-enabled devices to communicate when held in close proximity to each other. I half think its one way they can cut down on ticket touts. Harsh maybe on old people who dont have modern phones perhaps.
Anyway relevant to this thread, i wonder how many of those who are moaning about Covid Passports for reasons such as its Goverment control and nonsense like that, keeping watch in peoples movements...etc I wonder how many of them will turn a bind eye to this so they can get into the match? NFC technology is a perfect example of how you can be monitored, big brother IS watching you!!

Its quite scary how much they monitor tho, I kid you not, this is a true story, the other day the boy was showing me a pair of shoes he wanted, some make I've never heard of before in my life, so I went in the other room to talk to my wife, she asked what the make was. As I walked out she checked facebook on her phone, she called me back in, she had an advert for the make of shoes on her facebook.

I cant get my head around how it would work anyway. It might just work for a once in a while event say a concert or similar but not for a daily, weekly, twice a month event like going to the pub or the game. The amount of data that would need to be entered and updated would put any system under huge pressure and mistakes will always be made.

If we cant get track and trace sorted not sure a bigger national system like Covid passport will fare any better.

Projects of this size take years and often fail at the cost of billions with nothing to show for it.

I've heard the travel passport argument but that is supplying data once and it lasts for 10 years so not sure Covid passport is comparable if it needs regularly updating with jabs and test results.

The number of variables is too great not to cause issues. e.g. your age, number of jabs, date of last jab, have you had the latest variant jab, number of tests, date of last test.

The time it takes to update any system with this data could be days which is then too late for you to get into your event or even go to the pub.

How do you correct any data that is wrong. e.g. system says you haven't had both jabs so that's a fail and you don't get let in but you know that you have had both jabs?

And we all know when it comes to sorting out any medical issues or questions you've got no chance of getting an appointment for ages at your doctors so who would administer this whole system/process.

And yet quite a few countries have escaped the worst of Covid with a robust track and trace system,it can be done.

I go into hospital for a surgical investigative procedure next Tuesday - I have had both vaccinations .....yet on Saturday I have to go for a COVID-19 swab test - I pointed out I have been A - on the day ward seen by the surgeon and the Ultra sound examination B- the pre-med both at the same Hospital - they tested me for MRSA at my pre-med why not do it for COVID-19 at the same time?
NHS as great as it is so disorganised - but I have to return before my procedure?
Which imo makes the vaccine passport look scant if I can be still a carrier.......

Bro anyone not rushing to get the vaccine isn't automatically a right wing nut.

Ethically there should always be a choice. But asides that there are people who have valid reasons for not getting or wanting it other than David Icke telling them not to.

There are plenty of reputable news sources that discuss it, one only has to look. Been a hard year on everyone but this attitude of everyone has to get one or face being ostracised is divisive and not nice at all.

People I know have died to Covid but I never would think that anyone should be forced against their will to take medical intervention that they don't want, no matter their reasons. Anyone that can't understand why it's not a good idea either lacks any empathy or is seriously self absorbed.

Vaccine passports would be not giving people a choice. It means you don't get to have human rights if you don't take the jab. It's not directly pinning people down and forcing on them physically, but it is still forcing them.

Look at India right now, its gone mad over there, they recently had full capacity stadiums for the cricket, and it's far worse there right now then anywhere.
See we don't have to have vaccine passports, we could just carry on with empty stadiums and watching it on TV, that's the alternative.
