They have had a nightmarish tournament but lets not start talking rubbish, They've been a top class white ball outfit for 7 years and won two world cups, and a lot of these players are playing the best test cricket in the world right now.

I'm not arguing against central contracts. I think all the players playing today are 30+, just seems a bit odd awarding them new ones before seeing how the tournament pans out.

I doubt one single tournament would see them discarding players. perhaps the contracts should have been sorted after but I really don't think it makes any difference, despite Willey having a cry. I'm not sure how many of these players awarded contracts you would not want to be available to play for England in any format for the net 3 years
