Crypto currency (IF banned from CA)

the main difference being when satoshi invented and mined bitcoin there was no monetary value to it,
whereas richard heart became a billionaire overnight!
the point you made about supply cap,i think that will happen in the future,
probably a hard fork and there will be a 42 million coin (or similar) just like the block size war in 2017 and look how that turned out!
He definitely did not become a billionaire overnight, you can look that up on chain. One thing that happened during the 'launch phase' was people sent their ETH and got back HEX. During that phase the OA or RH got around 1 million ETH, which is now worth billions.

So you have to think, if the guy ever wanted money, would he cash out his billions of eth, or cash out HEX and shoot his own project in the head?

The broader point is about centralized supply being a good thing when you are starting a company/crypto. Even though BTC had little monetary value in the early days, the best time to buy it was when Satoshi owned over 90%, just like from launch to now was the best time to buy HEX

What's your thoughts on Meta Hero project.
The Gateway to the Metaverse?
Rob Gryn coming out some updates today
i'm not a gamer or anything mate so don't really pay attention to that sector. the first line on the website is 'crypto meets 3D scanning technology' and it just made me think, why? why do we need that?

Again haven't looked into much so can't really comment

OK, appreciate your honesty.
You don't have to be a gamer to appreciate the opportunities.
As you may well be aware the Metaverse is likely to be a game changer (Facebooks name change is an indicator of that)
MetaHero with its 3D Scanner and connection to Sony will be able to 3D scan people and place their Avator in gaming.
For example, At the moment to scan footballers for inclusion in football related games can take an age.
MetaHero does it in 30 mins.
Their initial plan is to have 20 of these Scanners strategically placed around the world (major Airports perhaps?)
The possibilities are endless.
Think Tron or player.

Ye that's true, they tend to fly under my radar a bit more is kinda what I meant.

My question again though, why do we need the blockchain for this? Surely the 3D scanner technology and a link with Sony is sufficient?

In my opinion, people are quick to want to put things on the blockchain but without ever asking the question, why.

The blockchain is a slow, inefficient database. It is great for censorship resistance but a lot of applications really don't need it.

I think the idea is cool though now you have explained it more, Tron would be decent.

looks really cool and an innovative idea, but again why do we need blockchain for this? technology can exist on its own
I've no idea.
I invest simply to make money.
I got in this early.
If you saw Zukerburgs video on why he was changing from Facebook name to Meta you would see that his Avatar was in the Metaverse.
To do that you would need to be scanned by one of these.
There's an update today that just one of these machines will scan 150,000 people.
Price holding up well in this dip too.
Long term hold for me.

No I agree, I'm not one of those who are 'in it for the tech' I'm the same simply here to make money.

I guess I'm making a broader point that 99% of crypto is actually useless in the real world but is amazing for investing.

Ooops.
Sorry I pasted the wrong reply.
