Crypto currency (IF banned from CA)

feel sorry for these poor people,if they had their money in bitcoin, this would have been avoided.
the central bank governor has legged it with all their money!
not to mention the leader running off with $170 mil of foreign aid.

False - the central bank governor has legged it but no proof he has legged it with all their money. The country is in turmoil so its understandable the currency falls in value. Cash is king in situations like this, not a slow, expensive, failed attempt at p2p digital cash

the banks are closed,ATMs are empty there is no cash!
do you honestly believe the taliban would let you cross the border or even walk around the city with bundles of cash lol
i could cross a border with a million in my pocket and nobody would be none the wiser!

BTC might help wealthy people in Afghanistan move their money across borders, but the average man on the street/farm? Nope

The latest data I could find is 14% of people in Afghanistan have a bank account - so all the rest of the population just use cash in hand/bartering for their purchases.

Imagine a remote farmer going to his local bazaar and selling a bag of grain for 0.00001 BTC, waiting an hour for the transaction, and with the buyer paying more fees than what he is buying. It's just laughable that you ever think this would happen.

this is happening in el salvador now!f80e1cb8-1eec-497c-b760-6d341f6f3806-AP_El_Salvador_Bitcoin_Beach.webp
cash might be king in the short term to buy a meal or grease a few palms but if im fleeing a country i know what id have in my pocket.
even the western puppet leader who fled couldnt fit all his bags of cash in his helicopter and had to leave half of it behind lol

Yes if you want to cross the border and have lots of money, BTC is better to use than cash. I have already admitted that

Most people will not be fleeing Afghanistan though, the majority of population will stay put. In which case the cash they already use (only 14% have bank accounts) is a far better option than BTC. I refer you back to my example with the farmer.

We will see about el salvador, jury is still out.

Nothing at all like those folks who lost all their bitcoin when the wallet services got "hacked" or the web host "disappeared".

Very secure.

Crypto was invented to remove middlemen. People are silly and give their BTC or other cryptos to middlemen. These middlemen then run away with the money.

So the security of middlemen, like exchanges and other platforms, is poor and shouldn't be trusted. The security of BTC, in principle, is very good. It would take probably millions of years to brute force attack a random BTC wallet. If you stored your BTC in cold storage and had custody of your own keys, it is pretty much impossible to get hacked.

So ye, don't give your private keys and BTC to middlemen, as was designed, and you will be sound. Good job on a bunch of random articles, all you have done is highlight your own ignorance on the subject.

if i steal your wallet from your pocket is it the bank of englands fault?

It's your point that is stupid, you are blaming the thing stolen instead of the thieves lol
You said

I've just given you plenty of examples of someone running away with other people's bitcoin making your whole point moot.

Afghani money, bitcoin, it doesnt matter. You can still get robbed.

His whole point was how they wouldn't have gotten robbed by the Afghani leadership if your money was in bitcoin as then you couldn't be robbed by anyone else, yet those links show plenty of people have had their bitcoin robbed so it was a very stupid point.
