I've lived through a period of persecution against the Irish in the UK and in Northern Ireland and I should hardly expect to have to tolerate it on an Everton message board in 2018. It's just not clever. You wouldnt dare do it if I was jewish say but being Irish is fair game apparently?

Not at all. I've a great sense of humour and at least half of what I post on here is irreverent rubbish and I love a joke as much as anyone.

But the moomin fella has a spiteful grudge against the Irish and never misses a chance to bring it up where it's not needed. Then like clockwork a little sidekick chimes in.

It reminds me of the whole "no blacks, no Irish, no dogs" mentality. Liverpool as a city has struggled with sectarianism in the past and that type of thinking needs to stay behind locked doors in their little lodges.

Context is everything but I really think theres no place on a public message board for jokes about the murder of innocent millions. There really isn't.

Charlie I sympathise and agree with you mate. I'm Welsh and have to takea horrendous amount of abuse on here from the clique which seems to be totally accepted by people. ... it's shocking.
