Match Thread Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton . Sat Feb 15th. 5.30pm.

I do struggle to see us getting anything from this. I would like to see us play a bit differently in this one though. Maybe give tim a start in the middle. I would also play young right wing and Harrison left due to ndiaye being out.

My main concern would be Gueye and if he will have the legs having played so much recently but there's no real other defensive midfielder to replace him with. If tim plays he will need probably garner and gana alongside him and then give tim the freedom to play his game.

Beat these 0-2 and we go over them.

We can do it - if Alcaraz fits into the 10 slot as well as many hope & Harrison plays to the best of his capabilities.
Could go 12th if we win by 2 goals.

I suspect that both teams would be happy with a non-dramatic draw to keep both sides ticking over away into a fairly boring end of season run with no perils to worry about if that was offered now.

However, we might still have a buzz going from yesterday but I think we could be tired mentally and/ or physically after that game so if there are goals I would not be surprised in the slightest.

Watched a bit of Palace on Monday vs. Donny in the cup, they set up 3 - 4 - 2 - 1
and looked vulnerable at times.

I'd put Charly Alcaraz in the 10 role close to Beto for that double aggressor tactic that worked well last night.

Hopefully Harrison can weave his skillful cutting edge behind the space left by their wingbacks.

The Textortioner will be wanting to sell his 45% quickly after us rising above them !

Think this will be a game too far after a short turnaround amidst an intense week and a threadbare squad, not least missing our best player now.

Annoying because with a full strength team this should be earmarked as a good chance for 3pts. As it is, I think we'll struggle. Hopefully momentum from last night can see us through to a result then a bit of time to recover.

Got a decent record against Palace. Shame the game falls a few days after the exertions of last night and when the squad is stretched to breaking point. Both sides in decent form so I think it will be an entertaining draw 2-2
