Match Thread Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton . Sat Feb 15th. 5.30pm.

Subs bench for this...wow.

Wonder if Tim might come in for this given he had half an hour last night?

Harrison and Alcaraz are must starts I assume.

Think with all the emotion near the end last night this will be a hard game to get up for, could've done with this on Sunday or Monday just for extra recovery.

2-0 defeat.

Think this will be a game too far after a short turnaround amidst an intense week and a threadbare squad, not least missing our best player now.

Annoying because with a full strength team this should be earmarked as a good chance for 3pts. As it is, I think we'll struggle. Hopefully momentum from last night can see us through to a result then a bit of time to recover.

Reminds me very much of Wolves away last season over Xmas. Put in a great effort at Spurs and then were leading Man. City for an hour and Wolves was the third match in a week. Dyche in his wisdom brought back Keane and went back 5 and fresher Wolves just ran all over that.

The only worry is that type of defeat with the injuries might spark a 4-5 winless run now so this will be the big test of Moyes the sequel as it was then really poor under Dyche up to that Forest game in April.

I think our best chance in this, given the circumstances, is to make it an absolutely horrible game and nick a goal. Would like to say we'd go there and get at them but I just can't see that happening with our injuries and those who are playing not being 100% after midweek.

Love to be proved wrong like.

Have no issue at all with Moyes setting up for a 0-0 like he did at Brighton really.

Eze isn't fully fit for them but Wharton is 100% now so he'll start. Mateta in amazing scoring form and they are pretty good themselves defensively so will be a low scoring bore watch.

I would love to go ahead and beat them, but I think the injury to Ndiaye really dampered that. We are so bare in attack now, that until McNeil comes back it'll be even harder unless Beto or Lindstrom just goes off.

Will be glad to see Alcaraz get a start though

These players might have been Dyche-fit but now they're Moyes-fit, mentally and physically. They could play twice a day, 7 days a week, get a full season over in 3 weeks if need be!!

Palace are in superb form, we have lots of injuries, I hate "Would take a draw", but if you offered me a draw, I would snap your hand off.

But Moyes is at the wheel, so who knows, at least we know that Moyes wont accept a draw.
I definitely don't think he'll be taking a sandcastle to a Palace fight that's for sure.
