And McCarthy has been good about getting forward anyways, plus Barry does very well to cover for Baines and let him get forward when we're transitioning into attack (before Distin can move there to provide cover)

I agree about the last thing you said though, their defenders can't keep up this pressure for another half, I think (hope!) things will open up second half.

Barkley will make more opportunities than McCarthy mate.
 

Let's be honest here. We're good at passing it about in the middle but when it comes to the final third, we're screwing up some quite simple passes.
 

Honestly thought Mirallas was gonna be our big big player this year, his stats aren't bad but his performances have been woeful.

He needs a taste of the bench
 
Makes me laugh when people say Baines doesnt look arsed, hes always 1 of our better players, yeah he might miss place the odd pass, the odd corner, but hes still the best LB in world football.
