Entertaining game. Everton the better all round side. Palace disjointed at the back. Suspect Carlo picked out Mitchell for some early pressure given his relative inexperience. Eze & Townsend looking good going forward for us. The rules for penalties are bonkers (just like the one we got against United last week) but they are the rules. Sigh.

Palace haven't done much apart from the corner where we defended poorly, Zaha hasn't had a sniff really cause Mina has wound him right up.

I think so too mate. They are a good side but feel we have got more goals in us here if we can be more careful and clinical in our possession.

Definitely not been great. Maybe need a tweak in shape - we seemed to switch to a 4-2-3-1 at the end of the half with Doucoure pushing up high. He's been poor on the ball today.

Midfield hasn't quite clicked but we've looked dangerous in the final third - especially when James has got on it.

Can’t fault the performance so far really. All of them are playing well considering Palace are working very hard and have some talented players.

More positives than negatives in this first half. Positives: two goals, have created chances, the defense has been solid, James being James (except for the last kick). Negatives: one goal conceded, think the goalkeeper could have done more there, Doucoure and Allan have made a few too many mistakes with their passing, and listening to the commentators ("that pk was unfair," "blah blah blah"). Again, the defender read what Digne was going to do before he headed the ball. He chose to not put his hands behind or close to the body. Sorry, but to me it is a pk especially under the new rules.
