It will never happen but I agree. Too much all or nothing with those penalties - there needs to be a middle ground.

Penalties are so valuable in football matches and that's why so much controversy surrounds them. Anything to limit that for me.

Tough 1st half that. Need Doucoure to get proper stuck in and get a stranglehold in midfield for us. Every time we go forward we look a threat.

They have 2 workers in midfield to break up the play. Gomes has been finding the space and more so James. Not much service into DCL - Palace working very very hard to close us down.

Tyldesley and McCoist were a disgrace on both those penalty decisions. The first was borderline and could have gone our way, the second a stonewall pen, but they called them both no pens as if it wasn't a decision to make.

I wouldn’t have given the first, but the second one was a pen according to the rules....

Mina handling Zaha well so far, got him involved in a physical scrap and wound him up to get himself a yellow card.

Honestly sick of this “deliberate or not” chat. If a player slides in, in the box, and takes an attacker out and it’s not deliberate, it’s a flipping pen.

I do not care if a handball is deliberate - If the hand/arm is away from the body and stops the ball, it’s a pen.

Could make it an indirect free kick unless it's deliberate.

Good game fairly even, Palace have got dangerous forwards they'll do well this year, not their usual relegation battle if you ask me. Gomes and James passing that half the difference.
