Honestly sick of this “deliberate or not” chat. If a player slides in, in the box, and takes an attacker out and it’s not deliberate, it’s a flipping pen.

I do not care if a handball is deliberate - If the hand/arm is away from the body and stops the ball, it’s a pen.

I would have been livid if that penno had been denied.

By current rules that's handball so not going to complain about that, we've had enough shoite decisions go against us over the years. Some nice football at times prior to the Palace goal, feel like we can go up another couple of gears. Keep feeding James and sure we can notch another couple of goals.

Not a bad half. I think they've been set up well to deal with us though. We're not getting a split second on the ball. Need a bit more from Doucoure in that respect. He's been a bit wasteful with it.

James has barely had the ball and has created two goals. Incredible really.

We're set up right to deal with them defensively, but we threw away the first lead with slack set-piece defending there. Let's not let that happen this half.

Glad to be 1-2 up at half time, think the pen was mad, but glad it went for us, other teams like Man Utd and Liverpool get these pens all the time and we rarely get penalties of any sort.
Pickford looks nervous to me, understandable after the midweek game, but he needs to shake it off. They have looked good going forward, Eze, Zaha and Ayew with the pace and I think we have contained them OK. Same as last weekend when we were only up by 1, we need another to kill it off

Gomes has had a great half. Big Mick Kegger bringing it out from the back is a thing of beauty too.

They have 2 workers in midfield to break up the play. Gomes has been finding the space and more so James. Not much service into DCL - Palace working very very hard to close us down.

Yep, I thought Mccarthy had a decent half for them then.

We've got to keep matching them for work rate and if we do that then our extra class should show and get us the 3 points

I think it was definitely on course to land at Richy's feet. It seems harsh but it stops the ball so right decision to me.

Think we look quite sluggish in the middle, Gomes has been the best of the midfielders so far today. Need Doucoure and Allan to step up this half. They look dangerous from set pieces. Never in a million years is that a pen either. Games laughable but its about time we had some luck.
