Tough game but Dyche has to stop moving the goal posts. By the sound of things he is falling into the trap of thinking a change of tactics against so called vunerable teams is the way to go. He needs to stick to 'every one is better than us' so let us step up to stopping them and get them on the break attitude......it worked initially. Last couple of games (albeit several players missing) have been disastrous because he thought we could get at them but it has had the opposite effect. Get that defence sured up again and aim not to lose rather than sacrifice our defensive strength. Last couple of games have gone from defensive strength to massive vunerability. Don't try and force it stay solid
Yes back to basics. Dont concede. Even a point at this stage may be worth it. Hope we grab something on the break

Going full-on negative for this game, but hoping that I am full-on wrong.

Palace are safe now, hopefully they take their foot off the gas, because if they don't they'll batter us based on recent performances.

Some drastic changes needed from that [Poor language removed] show on Saturday
Does that ever happen?
I'd argue they could have an opportunity to turn it on for the home support and see 3/4 goals.

Pickford
Holgate Mina tarkowski Godfrey
Iwobi Onana gueye garner McNeill
Gray

I’d bring Mina back in, and I’d stick Holgate right back…might as well have four big lumps back there who can be used at set pieces at least.

I’d push Onana further up in the doucoure position.

Is Shay Coles still out for this one? Why can't our players ever just pick up little one-game knocks? Madness. He loves playing against Palace as well.

This whole joke with Dyche rolling out a new excuse each week about DCL being "improving" or "getting there" or "making progress" or "out on the grass" needs to be ending now. If he's in full training, which he has been for a while now, get him in the squad. We have almost left it too late for a final roll of the DCL dice. No kin point introducing him to the squad with two games to go and we're 6 points and 7 goals off safety.

Palace will be feeling safe now but that doesn't mean they'll take this game lightly. Three wins on the spin breeds confidence (not that we'd know; when was the last time we won three on the bounce?) and they'll see this as an on-paper very easy fixture to take the points from.

The media team would do well to stop dangling the carrot of Calvert Lewin as well. Stuff like;

The expectation as a result was he'd be involved.

It felt a sucker punch across the whole fanbase when the team was announced.

It feels like there is something deeper going on with DCL, it could be something mental health related. If so I hope he stays out of the team until he is better.
