The media team would do well to stop dangling the carrot of Calvert Lewin as well. Stuff like;

The expectation as a result was he'd be involved.

It felt a sucker punch across the whole fanbase when the team was announced.

Appartantly playing in a closed door friendly this week at FF. all know how that ends.

Fully agree. They've been teasing his return for ages, and it almost reached fever pitch last week with he was constantly being pictured in training, close-up clips of him running, passing, etc, looking 100% like he's ready to play and then... not even in the squad and we lose a home game we should be winning.

So out at the weekend if that's the case, even if he doesn't get injured. It'll be "he is building up the minutes" and will be another month before he's ready to be named amongst our subs, at which point bringing him into the team will probably be too late.

Imagine having no real striker for an entire season. I don't know for sure, but I am pretty certain that's never happened in the Premier League before, unless we're counting Man City who used to just use loads of attacking midfielders across a front three... but that was by choice, not by restrictions on transfers and injury.

In an ideal wold he plays an 45-60mins today . Gets 20mins at Palace and maybe then start him against Newcastle.

I have no hope this happens. Think its a mental block he has and he wont play again this year . Only play when 100% which never happens

Tough game but Dyche has to stop moving the goal posts. By the sound of things he is falling into the trap of thinking a change of tactics against so called vunerable teams is the way to go. He needs to stick to 'every one is better than us' so let us step up to stopping them and get them on the break attitude......it worked initially. Last couple of games (albeit several players missing) have been disastrous because he thought we could get at them but it has had the opposite effect. Get that defence sured up again and aim not to lose rather than sacrifice our defensive strength. Last couple of games have gone from defensive strength to massive vunerability. Don't try and force it stay solid
I think moving the goal posts might be his beat option to get something out of the game.

Oh God, we are not playing again are we? Can't we have an international break or something?

yea but Yery is a master of the 'dark arts'
If by ‘dark arts’ you mean collect his massive wage sat on his arse whilst waiting for a final lucrative move you’re spot on. I like the feller but in terms of contribution to the cause the last thing I remember him doing was talking to those lads that legged Gordon. Wish he’d urged them to run faster.
On topic: can’t see Palace not scoring so the best we can hope for is 1-1.

Dyche doesnt do radical change - that was aLampard thing. If Frank was still in charge there would be 9 changes after that Fulham display and we would get totally batered on saturday.
Dyche will only make changes if coleman, Onana or DCL are fit and ready to start. To put Maupay out as a starter again would be painful in the extreme but Dyche seems more concerned with 'did the player do what I told them' than - he's crap!
