Match Thread Crystal Palace v Everton . Sat Feb 15th. 5.30pm.

Bookies suggesting a home win by the odd goal. My thought would be that it depends on how high their defensive line is as we seem to pick up a lot of attacks from the pass through the defense for Beto or others to run onto. We will sorely miss N'Diaye if only for keeping their right side occupied. Presuming Doucoure is suspended, I think everyone is picking Charly but away from home against a decent side like Palace I think Moist might go with Iroegbunam. We'll see.....

After the upflifting end on Wednesday its tough to remember we are in the middle of an attacking injury crisis!

That's the only reason mate.
Coming back off a long lay off 3 games in 7 days might be too much .
But the sports science lads will determine that I guess

It's a good shout. In an ideal world I'd give Gueye a breather too, but needs must.

The big one for me is what can Alcaraz bring to the table? Can he get up alongside Beto?

All I know is we'll need to be a couple of goals to the good by the hour mark as we literally have no one to come in to change the flow of a game in a positive way, only players who can do a job to help us hold onto a lead/point

We'll be relying on Young and.....erm.....Young to provide cover for alternative positions and hope he's morphed into the 23yo version of himself.

I'm struggling to think who would we have on the bench?

Virginia
Begovic
Young
Keane
Patterson and/or Coleman if fit?
Sherif
Tim or Garner depending who is rested

No midfield depth
No attacking depth

Ya it's far from ideal.
One of the young players will probably need to be given a go. Maybe a mistake letting Armstrong go on loan .

I wouldn't have let him go mate because I thought it would only be a matter of time before he would be getting minutes here and there.

2 games into his Derby loan, been on the bench twice so I'm keeping a keen eye on that to see if he manages to break into the first team to make it a worthwhile loan

I dont see a favourite in this.

Palace have done ok of late, but they've been terrible in terms of consistency this season.

I'd actually make us slight favourites.

Our incentive should be to beat them by 2 clear goals and leapfrog them.
