Match Thread Crystal Palace v Everton . Sat Feb 15th. 5.30pm.

I dont see a favourite in this.

Palace have done ok of late, but they've been terrible in terms of consistency this season.

I'd actually make us slight favourites.

Our incentive should be to beat them by 2 clear goals and leapfrog them.
Their away form is top 6 but they're poor at home. 1 home win in last 7 games and 16th in form table at home.

I feel we just need to physically impose ourselves tomorrow and get in front and we'll be cooking from there imo

It’s brilliant because you would never have made such a bold prediction with Dyche in charge.

It's a good shout. In an ideal world I'd give Gueye a breather too, but needs must.

The big one for me is what can Alcaraz bring to the table? Can he get up alongside Beto?

All I know is we'll need to be a couple of goals to the good by the hour mark as we literally have no one to come in to change the flow of a game in a positive way, only players who can do a job to help us hold onto a lead/point

We'll be relying on Young and.....erm.....Young to provide cover for alternative positions and hope he's morphed into the 23yo version of himself.

I'm struggling to think who would we have on the bench?

Virginia
Begovic
Young
Keane
Patterson and/or Coleman if fit?
Sherif
Tim or Garner depending who is rested

No midfield depth
No attacking depth
Definitely feel we need to get the first goal in this to have any chance of the three points. Saying that, if we do, I think we could have a comfortable win. It just feels like we have momentum now.

Confidence gives momentum, momentum breeds more confidence, Confidence breeds positive results.

There's no way Wednesday would have felt like a draw at the end, that'll have felt like a pure adrenalin wish of the kind you normally get with a win. They need to follow it up (even though we're threadbare there's enough physical presence and runners to cause issues) with another positive result
