Clattenburg has reffed them 4 times this season.

I think Dowd, Webb and Atkinson have all done 3 each.

This season Dowd has reffed them 3 times, 2 wins 1 draw, the Derby. Last season Dowd reffed them 3 times 1 win, 2 draws.

Webb this season has reffed them 3 times in the league 1 win 2 lost and 1 cup game, lost.

Last season he reffed them 5 times 1 win, 1 draw and 3 lost.

Clattenburg has reffed them more this season than any other since 2007. He gets 2 games per season since the infamous Derby, this season as you say 4 times. What is unusual though is for a referee to ref the same team 3 times within 7 weeks. The usual rule of thumb is that a referee doesn't ref the same team within 6 weeks.

Webb got the Chelsea league game followed by the Arsenal cup game. He hasn't refereed them since.

Conte also claimed Clattenburg had failed to control what he saw as Benfica's spoiling tactics.

"The referee allowed them to obstruct the play the whole game. Before the game he told is us that he wouldn't stop play every time a player hit the floor, but that's what happened. We feel like we're not being taken seriously, and Uefa should show us more respect by sending a referee of the required standard."

Fun how it takes an Italian to question the ability of Clattenburg and not the media in this country.

Rodgers is emerging as a proper RS fantasist with his comparisons...hes in the paper today "If there is any team that can turn it around and score goals it will be us. Chelsea beat Wigan 8-0 in the last game of the season in 2010 ". Arrogant narcissist and more than a hint of Benitez.

Makes you wonder whether he'll up his game tonight, or be even more of a snide.

After the comments by Conte, little reported in the media here, he has to be careful. I think EUFA/FIFA do send refs assessors to watch all FIFA refs. There could be one there tonight, particularly after what Conte siad, and his officiating may be under the microscope. Mind you, that didn't stop him giving the RS a penalty when Sturridge blatantly dived and he was only about 8 yards away and no one in front of him.

To be fair their scoring record speaks for itself and so you wouldn't be surprised if they scored a handful tonight.

Though its clear its just the natural and predictable reaction from a manager that is heading into a must win game. Its his attempt to rally his players, its normal.

Still a cringeworthy bell end though

Aye, he's so far up himself I would imagine he'll just think it's sour grapes from Conte, no self assessment required.

Surprised he's had the balls to come out and suggested they are looking to reverse a chunk of the goal difference tonight. Strikes me as a tad disrespectful to his opposition tbh. He could look like an absolute tit if Palace frustrate them as they're not unlikely to do.

That's if that quote is accurate and not taken miles out of context (which it probably is, come to think of it).

I hope to god that Palace can frustrate these maggots. The longer it stays 0-0 the better as you know they will look to begin scraping the bottom of the desperation barrel.

I have a feeling this is finally the game where they will be highlighted for the cheats that they are

The major problem they have at the moment is the pressure they are under. They haven't won the league in 24 years and Rodgers hasn't had a sniff of winning anything. There is no player, trainer or coach that has been under this sort of pressure. It is not like City, whose players have experienced the pressure of winning when it is needed.
