Equally, it's not a surprise. Think back to when Oviedo broke his leg against Stevenage. The first player over to him was Stones, not one of the senior players.

I don't think the players didn't care. The commentators were saying how they surrounded the 4th official at half time for news and again in the dressing room.

Maybe they just didn't want to crowd around the medical staff.

Lots on mindreaders and amateur psychologists out today. Players often walk away from these situations - they're not medics, and will be of more help just getting out of the way. An injured person in distress doesn't want a crowd of people staring and slapping them on the back. It doesn't mean they don't care.

The best people to deal with the injured player were the medics.
You don't have to be concerned for a player standing a foot away.
You can be concerned yards away while taking water if you want. Can't you?
