Because he's not good enough to get in a Sunderland side destined for League 1. Better question is why we didn't sign an actual left back in the summer.

We can't attract a better leftback. Galloway would be our best option at the moment.

I’ve seen Galloway for Sunderland this season btw and he’s worse than Cuco.

I've seen Cuco in all but 4 games this season and I'm convinced he isn't ctually a footballer.

Massive massive reach considering he's playing for his future, but if that's the case, then that's horrible professionalism, and I wouldn't want him around.

One thing has struck me though, we have Coleman, Kenny and Connolly who is obviously out on loan at Ipswich but all either excellent (Coleman) or very promising right backs.

We seem to have one left back at the club, how was this massive blunder overlooked before the end of August? We knew Mori was out too for the season who could have covered if fit, but he wasn't.

Makes Pistone seem like Maldini

When Sandro burst onto the scene in Italy he was known as 'the new Maldini'.
Istill say there was a good player there, just ravaged by injuries, and the fact that although Kilbane was a good guy, he just did not understand the concept of the overlapping full back. Pistone was very high in the OPTA passing stats, but a lot of his passes were sideways because Kilbane was asleep, or no one else was moving into space.
