I get why people don’t want the lad at left back but Christ, get off his back. He’s putting in the effort from what I can see. If he’s technically not good enough then blame the club for ending up with just him as an (out of position) option, don’t blame him for the limitations in his ability.
People seem to be able to praise Niasse for trying even though he’s less than useless, yet Cuco not being given the same treatment.

Well, his run of capable games ended games ago, he was really really bad out there today. LB has to be priority #1 and #2. Not only could he not track back with his man, but he gave the ball away many times in promising situations for us...and them.

Niasse contributes to the team by pitching in with goals.
Martina contributes nothing other than being pretty good at passing to the opposition, to break down our attacks.
I honestly reckon that if he's got any little kids, then when he plays footy in the garden with them they actually take the piss out of him with nutmegs and rabona's because he really is gash.

He isn’t good enough, but just absurd the stick he gets.
He get's the stick because he's piss poor, how he made it in footy is baffling, no wonder he was third choice at Southampton, until they decided not to renew his contract that is.
Sorry but I think that’s absolute garbage. He does contribute. Makes tackles and interceptions. Accepted not a huge amount, but to say Niasse contributes more is farcical. Nothing Cuco done in any game to help prevent a goal? That thing defenders do as their job?
Won’t slate Niasse cos again I think he tries, but people are absolutely scape-goating Martina for the clubs failings.
