I'm pretty suspicious of the last few years (since Covid really), as there has been a pretty clear change in the style of racing, both with the overall pace of races going up but also the level of aggression in races. We'll see what happens today I suppose. Hautucam has been a playground for extraterrestrial performances over the years so let's see what today brings. It is strange.
I wonder if Pogacar will destroy everybody again like in the final TT of the 2020 TdF.
That's the most suspect performance since Floyd Landis to me. Leaving not only Roglic but also Van Aert and Tom Dumoulin more than 1'20 behind.... That's the international cream of the TT crop...
Maybe I'm getting too cynical.
I have a feeling Pogacar is going to have today what McNulty had yesterdayThat UAE performance was so suspect.....
What brought down the guy ahead of the UAE car?Nasty spill that for Bauer, 100% on the press motorbike
Watching it back, I think Eekhoff has clipped the back of another motorbike
Yeah, that was my thought. Just one of those things I guess.
Part of what I was talking about yesterday is the speed, which I think is due to be nearly 1kmh faster than the previous record (2005). Every single day the commentators are remarking at how aggressive it is from the start.
Wout Van Aert too quick for Pogacar on Hautacam.... After attacking every stage...Apropos of nothing, I re-watched the Armstrong Lie last night. Starting to get a mid-2000's vibe about the searing pace every day.
Just an incredible stage of Le Tour today.Wout Van Aert too quick for Pogacar on Hautacam.... After attacking every stage...
If only he could find this kind of strength for the spring classics.
Maybe the fact that they start racing at km 0 has something to do with it.Apropos of nothing, I re-watched the Armstrong Lie last night. Starting to get a mid-2000's vibe about the searing pace every day.
