I’ve heard from somebody who went this afternoon that it’s now unlikely to be ready until the 21/22 season at the earliest. Seems to be falling behind schedule with every passing month as I’m sure it was 20/21 at the AGM in Jan.

Not sure if someone who’s been today can confirm the 21/22 target?

It's clearly making the effort to be a modern day version of Goodison. Perhaps the restricted size of BMD is a good thing? The uniqueness of the location and with the size restrictions that are in place, it forces the architect be more imaginative. It's similar to Chelsea and their plans for building a new stadium with limited space and a tight footprint.

To be fair, it must be difficult to design a truly unique stadium from scratch. This could be unique, compact and create a good atmosphere, whilst avoiding being yet another cookie cutter arena. It looks like the corporate areas are relatively limited. It would be nice if the main TV gantry is in the main stand above the corporate so TV viewers don't have to look at empty seats!!
