I am far from a conspiracy theorist. I think it's naive to think they don't put stuff out to the media to help placate the fan base.

His injury record is highly questionable. How is that pragmatic? With money tight you need to be smart and inventive, a good scouting network. This just reeks of half hearted “oh he will do” crap we have done too many times in the past.
