That's my thinking. We're getting up in arms about someone he will most likely play in the early stages of the Carling Cup. He's an OK squad player who has decent flashes when he is fit. After settling down and thinking about it, I am OK with this. Will proper fume if Pienaar gets an extension though.

I really think this is a case of it already being agreed between the club and player, and it has been done now (in the last month of his current deal) for whatever reason (wages, probably).

I also imagine RK will be more than willing to have a look at Gibbo in pre-season, and then see if he will fit in to how he wants to build the side. If not, he'll be moved on.

I'm not saying I agree with it, it's a weird one, but not gonna lose my head over it either
 
How does offering someone a contract extension in our day and age mean anything, just gives him a few more months to prove himself.

Could have the best start of a season in his life, if not we sell him instead of him going on a free.

Extending contracts of players doesn't show a lack of ambition, 'kin 'el we're moaning already.

thats my main problem with it, davies should play in games like that, not some alco crock!

Everytime I watch this gif it gets funnier

I think it's because the kid driving the car could not be less arsed that he's running someone over

He doesn't appear to be doing it out of anger and he doesn't appear to be doing it for some form of sick enjoyment

It's almost like his attitude is "Oh dear, there's someone in the way. Well, no time to avoid them now, I guess I'll just have to run them over"
 

I'm guessing the contract has been heavily weighted towards clauses based around playing time and performances. Otherwise this is absolutely daft.
