Don't agree with a 2 yr deal but we know he's quality when fit, give him a chance to prove his worth and fitness over preseason to the new man.

I expect the contract has all sorts of clauses in it , but, when fit Gibson is a very good central midfielder.

The fact that he is not in France with the ROI says more about the ROI squad than it does Gibson.

I would play an injured Gibson ahead of a fit Glen Whelan.

Interesting one.
If he can stay fit, he'll be a great squad player. Not sure he deserves a chance but I'm glad he's gotten one because theres a great player there if the new managerial/medical team can get the most out of him. If they can't, sell him in January for pittance. Worth the gamble in my book. Hope we get to see the player we saw under Moyes.

We currently have 12 HG players.
Hibbert, Osman, Gibson are out of contract, Lukaku and Stones are heavily linked away, Barry could look to move on, same with McAleny, which would leave us with only 5 HG players.

Jesus dunno what shocked me more, the fact we have a huge amount less than i thought we did, or the fact that @MoutsGoat actually put his bag of doughnuts down long enough to make a very god and informed post

And I imagine it may have already been agreed to a while back.

Doesn't matter how old they are but what they bring to the squad and in the case of Tom Davies he did more against Norwich then Gibson did all season.
