As soon as gibson is on and besic off its like being a man down without the ball.

Gibson likes making these pretty passes to feet and loads of sideways passes, not much else. Just wish barkley would sort his head out.

....really? Besic was busy and playing ok but the balance was so much better when MCCarthy took his usual role and Gibson the Barry position.

Disagree mate, we adapted to his qualities when he came on. Players were making runs based on his long range abilities. With McCarthy and Besic everything was in front of Leicester, contributing to that dire first half.

It must be Besic OR McCarthy from now on imo

Disagree on both counts, besic and mccarthy werent even playing that bad at all either, it was due to the failures of our striker that people are trying to hit this ball, which doesn't make any sense to begin with.

Gibson really is just a fat passer who has not much else to his game, useful squad player until he gets injured for six months again.

He was average.

Most of his passes were forwards to a play that was right infront of him, or to a player at his side. None of the passes were defence splitting or particularly useful they were just... passes.



Have to disagree, the game was stretched already which made it easier for people to find space, that was more to do with the pace of Lennon and atsu than it was Gibson.

Besic could have done the same, probably better with how open the game was.

......Gibson might have replaced Besic but they had different roles. Once Besic went off MCCarthy took his role and Gibson played the Barry position. Last time he had a run of games there we were unbeaten for a very long time, his record is excellent when starting.

Absolute no agenda or wind up, i was a gibson fan and still am. But doesn't mean i'll big up a average performance from him, no point in it.

Ey fair enough if you saw it that way. I can't see how you did but it's all opinions.

Never put any questionmarks over Gibson's ability. Imo he's a pretty good player and superb passer. It's just that he can't seem to keep himself fit for a longer period. Shame really.

Seemed to me that Besic and McCarthy were in central midfield then later McCarthy stayed in central midfield and Gibson was a passenger defensively.

Not slating Gibson btw I just feel that if besic had stayed on we'd have been more solid.
