I liked the bit where the director asked them if they felt bad about what they did (giving them a chance to make themselves look better and less like villains) and rather than saying yeh it was a bit messed up they basically said 'you couldn't do it now'... like they were upset about that fact.
They came across as proper simpletons

Yeah the paps - tbh as a player I really under valued beckham but always think that midfield United had with him Keane Scholes and Giggs was the best suited I have ever seen in a four. Although watching that again thr last two nights I didn’t realise how good he was. Always thought the 98 stuff was awful but typical English behaviour to have a fall guy.

I think because he got so involved on the showbiz side of things that people started seeing him as overrated. But at his peak he was a world class player. He tailed off a bit around 2004 after he got quite a bad hamstring injury and lost some athleticism

Without trying to ruin it there’s a bit on thr last episode that shows the showbiz side to him. It’s quite funny. Must say I like him. As a kid when he was playing I used too love trying to strike a ball how he did.
He was very very very good. Bit it did all become a bit of a circus around him with England at the end. Not even sure the truth of some of it, but the narrative in the media was it was always about accommodating him. The move to centre midfield and the 'quarterback' position stuff.
