On the negative side he is currently well below PL standard at the moment.
On the positive side he is showing signs of improvement and has effectively rendered Leandro Rodriguez surplus to even U-23 requirements.
From the little I have seen I don't think we're counting on him for the future.

...I think he's looked much improved so far this season, he also looks a lot stronger. Saying that, it's a leap of faith to think he could step up to the first team.

We made such a fuss about getting him , first he was too much , then we couldn't sign him unless we bought him from that Greek club etc that he's hardly been worth it. Reality is our forwards at u23 level are nowhere near as good as our midfielders and defenders . Henen is one of a bunch alongside Dyson and Duffus who occasionally spring into life, have a good game, score a good goal then go back to being average. It's hard to see him , and the others , making it at anything above League1 level maybe Championship if they improve, but nothing at all to suggest eventual PL level.

Apparently turned down a five contract and will go to France according to the echo who are quoting a tweet. Must have something about him if the club want to offer him a five year deal

Strange one if true. Not even first choice in U23s at the moment and nowhere near first team squad.

Mind you, if we offered Gibson a new deal what would I know;)
