God I miss Irvine. We were ace when he was here.
Round out.
Irvine in.
I can't say I would be too unhappy if such a machiavellian deed transpired.

I'd also be happy if I was sat in a mega-money job with little pressure to do well compared to his peers in the same job at other clubs.
Just don't get relegated and you're quids in, because the fans will blame a "lack of investment" for the performance of the team.
Idiotic comment. Sorry, that's such a stupid comment.I'd also be happy if I was sat in a mega-money job with little pressure to do well compared to his peers in the same job at other clubs.

Everton is David Moyes club just like Man utd. is Sir Alex's, he wants to turn us back into one of the big boys and I don't think he'll give up until the final piece of the jigsaw is solved after years of pain-staking work.
Davey doesnt strike me as the sort of manager to sit in a job just cos it pays well - He has spoken numerous times of wanting to challenge and being competitive - If he didn't feel this was possible he wouldnt stay in it just for the cash - he is a man with ambition.
But genuinely - even given our lack of investment - there aren't many bigger clubs in England (other than the obvious 5 or 6) the rest are on a par with us or lower and any cash could only get them to where we are already.
Is that so? Then tell me why he's stated a number of times in the past few weeks that he accepts that 7th is probably as good as it gets for Everton.

Davek's right, Moyes should just march in there, pin Kenwright to the wall by the scruff of the neck and tell him that if he doesn't get more money he's going to leave.
Then Kenwright will say no, and Moyes will go back to the training ground where he belongs. He's a manager, not the Chairman.
managing expectations
He's got no need to do that. Most people accept we've fallen off the pace of the usual contenders + Spurs and City.
If he's got ambition it's time for him to start demanding these tvvats pull their fingers out and back him. Moyes cant continue crying poverty and do fcuk all about it.

Maybe Davey has more idea of why there isn't any money to spend than you - ie the owners dont have it!
