David Moyes Happy At Everton

This is a discussion that just goes round in circles - and never comes to a conclusion because people have different opinions. You think the board should go and be replaced with one that has cash - I would love it - providing it was somebody who was going to do a decent job. Portsmouth have just been sold for the 5th time and have'nt had any money yet.
There are very few owners around who could provide the investment most supporters want - Man City & Chelsea got lucky - there ar eplenty who didnt

A net spend of £5-10M each season?

If that's too much for a Premier League board to handle I'll leave it to you to decide whether they're fit for purpose.

For an owner to spend £5-10M of their own money every year on wages and transfer fees, any semi-intelligent business person would want some kind of return on investment. On the pitch, the only real chance to make that money back is to get into the Champions League group stage. The football league is littered with the carcasses of clubs who tried to reach that promised land and failed. It's not a good long-term financial plan.

Now if the board were willing to spend £5-10M a year on infrastructure improvements that increase the clubs turnover AND the value of the club, everyone's a winner. That's the big failure of the board. They need to have a long term plan for the growth of Everton that doesn't revolve around getting lucky one year. Unfortunately, they don't.

Is that so? Then tell me why he's stated a number of times in the past few weeks that he accepts that 7th is probably as good as it gets for Everton.

Kendall was on SSN earlier saying he didnt agree with Moyes on that comment , that it doesnt send the right message to the players .

Also reckons wel most likely sell one of Baines/Jack/Felli.

A right bundle of joy was Howard .

I just dont know which way to fall on this. One day I love Davey, the next he frustrates me, the next I think he does lip service, the next I love him again............vicious fkin circle ! my head hurts

I've got a kopite mate who lives in London, Ontario.

Carry on.

Yeah, we've got our share over here, too. Actually I know one who's an all right guy -- he coaches the boys' team at one of the high schools here. There are others, though, who are right bellends.

To be honest, i think Davey is realiseing our fans are massively fickle and dumbing down expectations again, from his point of view i think he looks at saying having a go at a top 4 was a mistake. Hes got a fair bit of criticism for finishing then better last season.

Lets be honest here lids, we were far from at our best this season and still finished seventh, i take that as our minumum.

The owners do have it.

Kenwright certainly doesn't, but he's the one who you always seem to blame.

He also doesn't have the final say over which players are kept and sold, if you honestly think he can tell the board that HE is keeping the players he wants then you're deluded. That is not his decision to make. He has input, but he doesn't have the final say.
