David Moyes - Taking a knife to a gunfight at West Ham, Part 2

Just posting this here for Moyes content, put it on another thread earlier.
As was pointed out elsewhere, this shows what a good job he did, if I've got my dates right 7 times he was the best manager outside the top 6 elite global giant world wide fanbase sides

Whats this big 6 nonsense? During this time scale only 2 clubs could be classified as big six teams for the duration of this time. Spurs have never won the premier league and Liverpool only won it recently. Man City were in league 1 during some of this time!

I get the point being made but the parameters are all over the place.

Angry blue fanboy logic:

West Ham on 55 points: "amazing season, Moyes is doing a fantastic job!"

Everton on 52 points: "utter garbage, everyone is crap, Anchelotti has failed and needs to go!"
We were meant to be pushing the top sides after spending a fortune.

West Ham expected to be fighting relegation.

Tbf they’ve spent a fair bit too.

Net spend over the last 3 seasons isn’t a million miles away from us:

163m v 144m
Yeah, but the bulk of that went on Haller and Anderson.

Moyes has had buttons to spend in comparison to Pellegrini, and he has shipped out most of his players.

Look at his midfield duo. Soucek was 18M and Rice was a youth player. Antonio was a Championship signing, Lingard is a loan and Dawson was a couple of million from Watford.
