He used the video as a training tool, not as a substitute for strategies or systems, maybe that sentence is missing a comma or two but it doesn't make sense to me, you can watch a video and still have a system, it's probably just me but any way I read it, it's not quite right.

Why did he not show him videos of some of the CB greats Rio will have seen play like Baresi Nesta Kohler Cannavaro Hierro as an example.

Rio must have left the room thinking How the **** is this guy our manager. when he's being schooled to defend like a low block defender with not much pace who wasn't fit to lace his boots.

But comments by Rio about Moyes's time at United are pretty much that, pretty scathing about his training methods and how out of his depth he was.

And on Fergie, I’m not totally convinced he was this bad a judge of a manager. His judgement of players was generally excellent, so surely he had an inkling of what a good manager looked like. Therefore I can only conclude, as far fetched as it may be, he deliberately banjaxed the club by leaving them with this deadbeat, thus enhancing his own standing in the game. Fergie's managerial reputation is enhanced with every passing year with no title (will be at least 8)...”god if only we had Fergie in charge”, but the bigger picture is, he is the man that set their downfall in motion with this appointment.

I think Westham are done. Don't think they have the fight. Tough set of fixtures, of the 14 games left i see them winning may be 2 at the most. If they go down they will be in a big mess financially. Think moyes has bitten off more than he can chew second time around.

I still maintain that Fellaini going to United at that time wasn't a bad buy as a jack of all trades. Throw him on with 20 minutes to go and he can play defensively and can cause mayhem up front if they were chasing a game. A rugged style, but effective for a team at the very top who need an extra dimension to their play that they wouldn't normally use. The big thing was not refreshing the players who should be starters. Anyway, yesterday's news and yesterday's man.

Absolute desperation stakes this from Moyes. Haven’t got a decent defender at the club but collecting attacking midfielders and wingers for stupid money. No doubt our fans will fall for it once again though.
