2024/25 David Moyes

I'm made up that Moysie got his first win under his belt, but bloody hell it was a bit of a nail-biter in the end.
History repeating itself:

“Everton's new boss David Moyes got off to a winning start as Fulham were beaten in a dramatic encounter at Goodison Park.

“Moyes looked on the way to a comfortable opening victory as David Unsworth gave Everton the lead inside the first minute and Duncan Ferguson swiftly added a second.

“But the man who arrived from Preston less than 48 hours before kick-off was made to sweat after Thomas Gravesen was sent off with more than an hour remaining”

I am gluttonously gorging on Dychette tears tonight. A feast for all of the kingdom.

Have at it Mike! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Whoa!!!

Why? We dont make a habit of losing too many at home to that lot.

1 loss in the last 7 Goodison derbies...
We don’t often play them when they are well clear at the top of the league having only lost once all season.

I want us to win and I want us to set up to try and win. But im not naive enough to think that our first win in a month and a half is leading us into some sort of fantastic form where on paper we should be competing against the league leaders whilst we are in a relegation fight.

We'd have been ok in any case without a change.
If dyche stayed I reallly think we were gone there was nothing positive from him the players tactics to suggest we were going to stay up.it was all negative including the atmosphere in the last season at Goodison it was getting more nervous toxic and depressing with every home game that passed.Took a point at most today with dyche.

When Dyche came in we beat a better Arsenal team than this threadbare Spurs team.

It's way too early to be passing judgement on a comparison between Dyche and Moyes.

We can get a draw at the very least. They're not great. Anyone can see that.

In honour of Davie's first win back as our gaffer, AND the giant sigh of relief I'm sure Toffee's the world over are currently feeling, here's some comic relief:

Onwards and upwards, eh lads?!
Edit: I just noticed that it's Ashley Young kicking the ball into Moysie's bollocks there...

History to repeat itself?! 🤔

I thought there were some clear similarities between his first game (Fulham), and today. When DM first came it became pretty obvious who was going to get left behind by the new tactics. Similarly, a couple of players stuck out as just not good enough today. Doucoure and Mykolenko were both way off, compared to the improvement seen by the 8 other outfield players, and subs. I don’t think they’ll be in the side much longer, as hopefully we’ll be bringing in new blood to improve in those positions.

Nope, you really saw something already against Villa in parts, but especially the first 70 min today. The players were alive and willing what we didn't see under Dyche in the last few games, Chelsea excluded, but it's still fragile as the game after their 1:3 showed.

It's just 2 games, and we are still far from safe, but it gives hope for the next weeks.
